Matty McGregor
Architectural Designer
Originally from Merseyside, Matty is a graduate of Manchester School of Architecture and has re-joined the practice after 2 years of studying. During his master’s program, he spent a semester studying abroad at Politecnico di Milano, where his studio project imagined a radical co-housing system integrated into the 9.5m high iconic truss of San Siro Stadium. For his thesis project, Matty imagined a self-sustaining anarchist occupation of Stretford Mall as a response to the landscapes of consumption that dominate UK town centres. While Matty is passionate about design aesthetics, he finds social systems and placemaking particularly compelling.
Outside of architecture, Matty enjoys drawing illustrations and is also a keen runner. Now living in Manchester, he enjoys the culture of the city, often enjoying a good boogie of a weekend.
